Stranger No More, But Still

I know we've met one million times,
Not in this lifetime, I know.
It was long ago when life it shined,
People laughed and spoke real slow.

I know I've met you, or so it seems,
Paint covered pants and evergreens.
I see you now in shades of gray,
Your confusion still I kiss away.

We've done it before in a field of white,
Lied down with you, a snow cold night.
In the most dark and beautiful scene,
We sweat together on a bed of green.

And still my heart, it beats in time,
Encounters of a man removed.
You were the one that got away,
In time, that you were, it is now soothed.

I thank the stranger,
That you are no more.
Your kisses smooth,
Our bodies, sore.

In health and wealth and happiness,
We'll meet again, for a strangers kiss.
